Colonial Williamsburg invites guests and the community to ring in the holiday season at Grand Illumination with an evening of warmth and merriment culminating in fireworks demonstrations over three iconic Historic Area sites: the Governor’s Palace, Magazine and Capitol. The beloved Williamsburg tradition of free holiday entertainment returns on Sunday, December 2 at 4 pm and culminates in exhilarating fireworks displays at 7 pm.
A town crier will officially open the holiday season from the steps of the colonial Courthouse at 4 pm. Enjoy themed musical performances, festivities, dining, and food trucks throughout the Historic Area, fireworks above the Governor’s Palace, Magazine and Capitol, and a torch-lit procession of the Fifes and Drums down Duke of Gloucester Street.
