New Quarter Park presents “The Great Pumpkin Hunt” on Saturday, October 27 at 5:30 pm. Check-in starts at 4:45 pm to include a bounce house and games before the hunt. Participants age 6-12 will hike through sections of the park in search of hidden plastic pumpkins filled with prizes. Children will be separated by age groups and receive a bag to collect the plastic pumpkins and hidden goodies. An assortment of donated candy will also be distributed into each bag. In addition, each registered participant will receive a free glow-in-the-dark necklace. Register online by October 15 at http://www.yorkcounty.gov/parksandrec. The registration fee is $5 per child. Please be aware space is limited.

After the hunt, the park is hosting the outdoor showing of the classic movie, "It's The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown." The movie begins at sunset (approximately 6:20 pm).
