The Senior Center of York has a variety of programs in February:
AARP Free Tax Service – Friday, February 2 – Tuesday, April 17
Tax preparation for seniors from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays is on a first-come, first-served basis, with priority to those 60 and older. Participants should bring last year’s tax return and current tax information.
“Veterans’ Benefits” – Wednesday, February 21, at 12:45 p.m.
Laura Skeith, York-Poquoson Social Services and Adjutant to the local DAV Chapter, will explain benefits that can assist veterans and their families. Register by calling the Senior Center.
Tech & Breakfast - Thursday, February 22, at 10:30 a.m.

February Birthday Bash - Friday, February 23, at 1 p.m.
Singer Billy Mitchell will perform a medley of your favorite classic tunes. Remember, you do not have to be celebrating a birthday to come join in on the fun! Please sign up at the front desk.
“War Stories and Pizza” - Monday, February 26, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
This is a casual time for veterans to meet together and share stories from their service in the military. Senior Center Board member and U.S. Army veteran Buck Rodgers will facilitate this program. Advance sign-up is required at the front desk. Space is limited.
The Senior Center is located in the Washington Square Shopping Center at 5314 George Washington Memorial Highway (Rte. 17). The Center is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Reservations are required for all sessions and are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.
