For the 10th year, the organization Project Hero (formerly Ride 2 Recovery) will be coming to Williamsburg with the "Memorial Day Challenge" for our wounded warriors. Their ride will begin on Memorial Day in Annapolis and end in Virginia Beach on Friday, June 2. Their trip on bicycles will bring them through New Kent, James City, & York Counties, and Williamsburg once again this year. The Knights of Columbus 4th Degree will hold a barbecue dinner with all of the fixings for these heroes at St. Bede's Church at 6:00 pm on June 1st . A limited number of tickets are available, however donations and community support is needed as well.
A limited number of tickets are available for only $15.00. This, however, doesn't cover the entire cost of the event. Donations and community support is needed in the form of personal or corporate donations and sponsorships. Donations are to: Knights of Columbus with Project Hero in the memo line, mailed to Rick Hines at Patriot Buick GMC or dropped off. More information on Project Hero and be found on their website at www.projecthero.org Contact Rick Hines by phone or email should you wish to donate or buy tickets at 757-592- 8007, 757-220- 1700 or email@example.com.
