Nathan Lienard, who grew up in Yorktown, came into music following the end of his baseball career at the University of Central Florida. For Lienard, music helped fill the void left by athletics. In 2009, he performed publicly for the first time and found the rush of performing comparable to the same rush he felt while playing baseball. Lienard now performs throughout Hampton Roads, but mainly in Williamsburg.
Leinard appeared on the WMBG Super Sound Showcase sponsored by Retro Daddio and performed his original song, "Living check to check," which had been in the works for roughly a year.
