WILLIAMSBURG REGIONAL LIBRARY BOARD OF TRUSTEES ANNOUNCES LIBRARY DIRECTOR POSITION CANDIDATES

The Board of Trustees of the Williamsburg Regional Library is pleased to announce its slate of candidates selected to interview for the position of library director. Interviews with the members of the library’s Board of Trustees will take place in January. The candidates to be interviewed are:
Jenny Bailey
Ms. Bailey currently serves as director of the Blackwater Regional Library System, where she has also served in several branch manager positions. She has also worked for the Library of Virginia and both the Hampton City and Suffolk City Libraries. Ms. Bailey holds a Master’s Degree in Library and Information Sciences from the University of South Carolina.
Betsy Fowler
Ms. Fowler is a library advocate, consultant, and former public library administrator who served as Director of Library and Research Services for the City of Chesapeake and as the Coordinator of Branch Services for the Central Rappahannock Regional Library, serving the city of Fredericksburg. She holds a Master’s of Science in Library Science from The Catholic University of America.
Karen Ronald
Ms. Ronald holds a Master’s in Library Science and a Master’s in Political Studies as well as course work at the doctorate level in computing science and technology. She has worked in a variety of library positions, and has diverse experience gained from leading a bilingual, rural library in Canada, a private association library, and two municipal library systems in Connecticut.
Williamsburg Regional Library consists of the James City County Library, the Stryker Center, and the Williamsburg Library and serves more than 85,000 people in the City of Williamsburg, James City County, and York County.
